Beef shares
Here at Maryvale Farm in Bethesda, Tennessee, we raise 100% grass-fed all-natural Red Angus
and Balancer cattle. Our beef is humanely grown without antibiotics, growth hormones or
steroids. When you buy a share of Maryvale beef directly from our farm, you will receive a mix
of premium steaks, roasts, and lean ground beef.

Custom Half Beef Share ($5.99/lb)
Our grass fed and finished beef cattle will weigh somewhere between 900-1100 pounds.
When you order a half beef share, the animal is split down the middle, head to tail. This means you get either the right or left side and another customer gets the animal's other side.
Once the animal is brought into the processing facility, the internal organs and other pieces are removed (leaving the hanging weight). You will be charged on this hanging weight. You can expect to take home approximately 50-60% of the animal's hanging weight in meat,
depending on bone-in cuts, etc. Processing fee is paid directly to the butcher and depends on your choice of cuts, but averages around $1/lb.
Standard Quarter Beef Share ($995.00 processing included)
One processed quarter share will yield at least 85 pounds of beef for your freezer. The following example illustrates a standard breakdown:
Lean ground hamburger (40) 1lb pks
Chuck, Shoulder, Rump, Sirloin Tip (3) 3lb roasts
Premium Steaks (16 oz Ribeye, 8 oz Tenderloin, 16 oz NY Strip) 10-12 lbs
Marinating Steaks (Sirloin, Flank, Skirt) (6) 1lb steaks
Stew/Kabob meat (5) 1lb pks
Back/Short Ribs (5) 1lb pks
Brisket (1) 3-4 lbs

Individual cut sizes and quantity will vary between animals.
Some bones and organ meats are also available.
